The Hue is Mali Parkerson’s latest solo venture to find, produce, collaborate and share art experiences around the globe. The Hue, in addition to exhibiting curated shows throughout the year at various unique locations, brings together brands, people, other galleries and artists through art happenings via modern-day culture practices such as social media, digital content, events, pop-ups, fairs and more.
Founded by Mali, an art entrepreneur with a deep passion for fine art and over 10 years of experience in the international art world, The Hue provides collectors with advisory services in Modern and Contemporary Art, in order to help them build and enhance their collections. They are also dedicated to the management and representation of contemporary artists to promote them in the international market.
More than just another art curator, The Hue is art-culture.
THE SCENE
Miami is a vibrant city with a bustling art scene. The Perez Art Museum of Miami (PAMM) and Wynwood have certainly put the city on the global map, attracting art enthusiasts from around the world. But in recent years the gentrification of Wynwood has lead to both artists and galleries finding new more affordable locations, making it a bit more difficult for visitors to find them. Neighborhoods like Little River and Lemon City are now the new art destination, although Wynwood remains the go-to district for some of the best murals in town. The revamped Bass Museum of Art in Miami Beach is a must see, not just because you can hear the waves crashing, but because their shows always take things to the next level. In the last year the Design District also established itself as art-worthy as the home to the Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA), boasting a very impressive private collection and blockbuster shows. Let’s not forget about the 3 prominent private collections that are also open to the public! Margulies Warehouse, Rubell Family Collection and the De La Cruz Collection have for many years been the city’s institutions par excellence.
